Employee Excellency

It is delivering at an extremely high standard. Delivering outcomes and not just doing alot of hardwork. The outcomes should be in the eyes of the recepent be it the client, the shareholder, the regulatory or your peers. Progress over perfection always. Driving too hard, when taken to extremes, makes you become transactional.

Artificial Intelligence (“A.I.”)

Described as an intern where you want them as someone who is giving you all the information but perhaps not the one that is making all the decisions.

Listening in Leadership

Every year your hearing has to improve as you will be told less and less or you will have less and less desire to listen as you may be locked in.

Surround Yourself with Positive People Who Believe in Your Dreams

Distance yourself from negative people who try to lower your motivation and decrease your ambition. Create space for positive people to come into your life. Surround yourself with positive people who believe in your dreams, encourage your ideas, support your ambitions, and bring out the best in you.

Criticism

Criticism is often futile as it puts the other on the defensive and moves them to want to justify themselves. It’s dangerous as it hurts the other person’s pride, makes them feel unimportant and arouses a sense of resentment in them. People could be considered creatures of emotion rather than logic…

Management of Stakeholder Relationships

Focus on the needs and wants of the next person rather than yours and take a further step to help them achieve them. Always look at thing from the viewpoint of of the other before you consider your viewpoint. Bait a hook to suit the fish and not the fisher.
